Warwick School is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys aged 7-18, set in 55 acres, adjacent to the River Avon, within Warwick town.
Duralock picket fencing is the ideal choice for cricket boundaries, aesthetically the fencing is in keeping with wooden alternatives but the PVCu material gives a much longer lasting and more hardwearing finish. The fencing surrounding the cricket pitch not only protects spectators from errant balls and the players trying to catch them, but it also clearly marks the boundary reducing access to the pitch during games.
When approached by Warwick School's Grounds Manager, Duralock arranged a meeting on site to understand the full project scope. As sports fencing specialists Duralock were then appointed by the school to propose the most suitable solution for their requirements. Duralock's technical team produced site drawings and visuals for numerous fencing options around the sports pitches that were well received. The picket fencing design which was aesthetically closest to the system that was being replacing and was therefore chosen for the cricket boundary, whilst Duralock multi-sport half mesh fencing was installed along one side of the football pitches.
Duncan Toon, Grounds Manager says “When looking to replace our existing cricket boundary fencing on two of our pitches, we reached out to Duralock after being recommend by a neighbouring school. Yasmin Seath, Duralock Commercial Manager, attended a site visit where we discussed the best fencing options for our requirements. The installation was completed across two phases to fit in line with our budgets and we are delighted with the finished product - so much so, we are now looking to use Duralock in many other areas around the school.”
